The Surf Zombies would like to mention we have a new cd in the can currently being mixed by Ian Williams at Soundhole studio. It's 14 new all original surf instrumentals inspired by our interest in hot rods, car shows, working on cars, rat bikes, old weird cars, rat rods and doing burn outs. The art work was done by Sam Gambino who did our Something Weird cd cover and we think he is exceptionally talented. This will be our 3rd full length cd. Songs were written by Kyle Oyloe, Joel McDowell and Brook Hoover. Tyler Russell is our new drummer and he did all the drum tracks. Tyler was very impressive when he came over to audition. He had some very formally written notation of the drum parts which impressed us greatly. He's a bit younger than the rest of the band, and we have a lot of fun talking about music, practicing, recording, gigging and traveling to shows together. We recorded at our Blackdoor studio. We actually have a few tracks left over and are already planning a 4th cd. We've been getting more busy playing shows. and have enough material to play a 3 set all original show and have already booked car shows into 2012. The band is really happy that we've been able to keep the band together and productive over the past few years. Realizing old weird sounding instrumental music is not going to appeal to every citizen in our area, we accept those who get it really get it and that's good enough for us. It's also nice to see people all over the world downloading our tunes and sending messages of support. So thanks and best wishes to everyone who helps make the scene what it is.
