Meet the band!
Kevin (Hevvy Kevvy) Alexander (keyboard, guitar and lead vocals) - His first band started at age 13 with 4 other 7th grade classmates. This band called "The Hailstones" never really played a real gig but several members including Tim Rice went on to form the next group called "Sage" a four member group from Victor, IA. "Sage" went through many changes in personnel over its 12 year span but highlights included playing the Iowa State Fair 5 times. In 1985, Kevin started a group called "The Beer Tent Boys" who then changed their name to "Top Secret" in 1986. In 1988, Kevin moved to Cedar Rapids and formed a new band with other co-workers at WMT Radio. This band called "Flashback" fronted many big name acts including B.T.O., Ozark Mountain Daredevils and Black Oak Arkansas. "Flashback" disbanded in 1999. In 2002, "mid life crisis" was formed to perform for a variety show put on to raise money for an Iowa Valley School project and the rest is history. Tim played many different instruments throughout high school including guitar and bass guitar in jazz band. He along with a couple other members, went on to form the group "Sage". In 1982, Tim began playing guitar for a group called "Jadestone". Tim along with Kevin Alexander started a DJ service called Crystal Clear in 1986 and eventually picked up the bass guitar again when "mid life crisis" formed in 2002.
