Abandoned Road

The band originated with Chris Walker and Tom Leaverton. Both are seasoned musicians...Chris, a guitar player with an affinity for classic rock, and Tom, a seasoned drummer with similar tastes. The two musicians were connected through a mutual friend and began getting together to jam and play some favorite songs.

Since the pair was having fun with the sessions, they decided to seek out a bass player. As luck would have it...Tom's text message to Chris suggesting the addition of a bass player got to Chris at a moment when he was sitting next to Bruce Bingman...who just so happened to be a phenomenal bass player. The three began playing together and began producing some really good sounds. Matt Gogel, a co-worker of Chris was added on rhythm guitar and the band set out to bring their sound to the Cedar Rapids music scene
