One day sitting in Nate's basement, Jake said "Dude, we should start a band." Nate laughed, and off they went to Taco Bell. While eating, Nate started singing a song he made up on the spot saying "you finna get laid tonight." Instantly the two banged out the greatest tunes you'll ever hear if you don't listen to anything else.
As of January, 2011, I Cry Wolfe became a full band, adding members of past bands (Nick Booth on bass, Brandon Garland on guitar) and Dylan Hawley on drums. This configuration clicked the moment they grabbed their respective instruments and started writing songs.
On June 26th, 2011, they played their first show at the Shockwave music and art venue in Cedar Rapids. Opening for "Sunday's Best", and Cedar Rapids renown group "A Casual Affair". This show was a great success!
