“That’s a lot of talent on that stage,” I said to my wife the other night. We were blown away by the music at a Loaded performance. Having recently interviewed the three-piece Lady Lowe band a few weeks ago, they had suggested we check out their other band — their “full” band.

After the instant success of their band, Lady Lowe, Jenn Lowe and Don Scott wanted to reach an even larger audience, so they created a second band — Loaded. The lineup includes Derek Irwin on bass, Troy Mitchell on drums and most recently Ryan Roling on lead guitar.

“We auditioned many talented musicians in the area, and this is the group that came from that, ” says Don.

“Troy is a well-known drummer in the area, making a name for himself in the rock world with Skin Kandy and Inch 75. Ryan comes from popular bands such as Thud and Artificial Gray. And we were lucky to find Derek, who perfectly completes the band.”

Formed in April of 2010, Loaded is a modern country band. They cover tunes from artists such as Lady Antebellum, Sugarland and Brad Paisley. Many songs actually sound more like rock. Think Johnny Cash s with a little bit of a funk beat.

“We have a mix of music so if you don’t really like modern country, you’ll like the other stuff we play,” Jenn says. It’s “kind of a lot like 80s rock, really — higher energy, with a few surprises thrown in as well.”
