THE TALENT: Jarad Reddoor (lead guitar/vocals), Jeremy Reddoor (guitar/vocals), Nick Hippert (bass/vocals), Mike Serbosek (drums), Nicole Geary (lead vocals)

Cedar Rapids band Reddoor has been catching the attention of local rock music lovers for a couple of years now. Brothers Jarad and Jeremy Reddoor, as well as Nick Hippert and Mike Serbosek had all been rocking the Cedar Rapids music scene in various bands for years before linking up. Bands such as Four on the Floor, 4 Deep, Rearvue, Thud, Hyperfuzz, Adrenalize, Mack and the Bull Dogs — I could go on and on.

Vocalist Nicole Geary came to their attention by way of the karaoke scene, which she had been singing in for years. With her addition in July of 2009, the lineup has jelled, and the band is starting to develop a large and enthusiastic following. Every performance bursts with energy and passion, and gets the crowd moving, and every show turns into a party.

Focusing on high-energy Top 40 pop/rock, these musicians know their stuff. They will soon be working up some original music, but the focus for now is on getting their name out there and establishing a strong following.
“We try to put out good energy for the crowd, so if they are not out dancing they can sit and still get plenty of entertainment from us,” says Jarad Reddoor.

Cedar Rapids has been their home base, playing regularly at rock clubs such as Tailgators and Next Door, but they are now starting to branch out
to Anamosa and North Liberty and other area venues. We caught them a few weeks ago at First Avenue Live, one of five bands performing that night. The guys were in good form, full of passion and energy, the tunes laden with compelling beats and marvelous guitar work, while the vocals of Geary captured the audience.
