Join the Johnson County Historical Society and the Johnson County Conservation Board on Saturday, May 5 on a tour to some of the outdoor recreation and conservation areas in our county.

Harry Graves, Director of the Johnson County Conservation Board, will guide guests through the history and background of the Conservation Board, parks, improvements to sites, and plans for the future. Vegetation Specialist Dave Wehde and Naturalist Brad Freidhof will give a presentation about the Ciha Fen Preserve, and its environs, on that site.

Sites included on the tour are: Scott Church Park, Solon Prairie, Ciha Fen, River Junction Access, Walker Park, and Hills Access.

Registration is $30 for members of the Johnson County Historical Society, or $35 for non-members. The cost includes transportation to each of the sites as well as snacks. Lunch will be on your own at Baxa’s Sutliff Store & Tavern.
