Rat your hair and slip on your spandex, dude... it’s time to party! In the spirit of the classic John Hughes movies, The Englert Theatre is hosting an '80s Throwback Prom party to benefit Iowa City’s only historic theater during our 100th year! Come stag or roll-in with your hot date and be sure to come dressed in your finest or funniest '80s gear to dance the night away on the Englert stage. This prom will feature adult beverages (think wine coolers) and some of the most radical '80s snacks still available (think Bugles). And be sure to get your photo taken in our photo booth! Special celebrity guest Ramona Muse will pick a Prom Queen and Prom King, who will each win 2 tickets to the upcoming screening of the film Crazy Horse on May 18th.
