It’s the third Great Eastern Annual Ride, an expanded edition and it rolls through the landscape Grant Wood made famous this coming June 2-3. Riders will cover 90 miles in two days cycling through the countryside of Jones and Jackson counties’ farms, forests, bridges and ridges.
Riders begin in Anamosa in Jones County, on the Wapsipinicon River and end a day later in Bellevue, on the Mississippi. The route has been planned for maximum roadside appeal and minimum traffic volume on rural roads that parallel the Grant Wood Scenic Byway route.
