Sauce Boss (AKA Bill Wharton) plays a swampy Florida blues with his band The Ingredients while cooking up a huge pot of gumbo, which he eventually serves to the crowd.

Tour stops also see Wharton cooking free gumbo for a city’s homeless men and women. In 21 years of performing, he’s fed more than 180,000 people for free.

Jimmy Buffett wrote a song about him called “I Will Play for Gumbo” and he played to packed houses every night in Key West for the 2000 Parrothead national convention.
