Actress Nancy Margulies will perform her one-woman show “Deaf Poets Society” at Coe College’s Hickok Hall. Tickets are $10 each and benefit the Cedar Rapids Public Library.

Margulies lives in the San Francisco Bay area where she has been performing her one-woman show to rave reviews. Her show includes a lesson in sign language street slang, the story of a clever independent deaf-blind man, a deaf prostitute, a man awaiting trial for murder, a psychologist who plays the role of advocate, interpreter, chauffer for the cast of characters who are her clients. These elements combine for a most unusual evening of theatre.
