Party in the Park is held at a different neighborhood park each Thursday, and provides neighbors with opportunities to socialize and enjoy free live music, ice cream, games, arts, and crafts. Party in the Park is sponsored by the City of Iowa City Parks and Recreation, and Neighborhood Services departments. This event features the all-female, orchestral folk band, The Awful Purdies.
