The Old Capitol City Roller Girls All-Star team will take on the Des Moines Derby Dames on June 9th at the Coralville Marriott. Doors open at 6:15pm and the bout starts at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at either New Pioneer locations, Crossroads Tattoo, or online through Brown Paper Tickets. Admission day of is $13 with children 10 and under free.

The Old Capitol City All-Stars are the All-Star travel team from Iowa City--comprised of some of the hardest-working athletes in the state. The All-Stars have been undefeated by any Iowa team in the past two seasons. The Old Capitol All-Stars have played the Des Moines Dames three times in the past two seasons, and won each time by a narrow margin. Both the teams are members of the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA) and are playing teams around the Midwest all season for a chance at qualifying for regional tournaments.

Keep up with the Old Capitol City Roller Girls as they continue their season. They travel to Ohio June 15th to take on the Ohio Roller Girls and the Demolition City Roller Girls, and then the following weekend travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota (along with their B-team, the Old Capitol City Rockstars) to take on the North Star Roller Girls in a double-header. The next time you can catch them at home is August 25th when they take on the Mid-Iowa Rollers of Des Moines, Iowa.
