Iowa State University Extension will be offering a one day certification course on food safety for food service managers in Cedar Rapids. ServSafe is a national certification program made available through the National Restaurant Association. Certification is good for five years. The course costs $135.00 ($100.00 for current Iowa Restaurant Association members). The registration fee includes 8 hours of training, the Serv Safe Essentials manual, the exam and certification.
