The Doug Langbehn Trio is a local group led by longtime Iowa jazz pianist and composer Doug Langbehn, complemented by the eclectic Jeanette Welch on upright bass and Dr. John Bayless on drums. The trio specializes in mainstream jazz, performed in the classic piano trio tradition, and has performed at numerous local venues over the past three years. It is with a profound mixture of pride and embarrassment that they recently realized that they share over a century of professional performing experience among them.
