The Silver Games will be a friendly competitive venue bringing together residents from eight retirement communities in our area and the Iowa City/Johnson County Senior Center. There will be indoor and outdoor events for individuals of all abilities. Medals will be awarded to every athlete. The games will be a carnival style atmosphere and resident athletes can participate in as many games as they’d like. Plan to play a bit of Bag Ball or horseshoes. Perhaps Frisbee or softball throwing is in your area of expertise. And at 1 p.m., plan to watch the Granny League show off their old fashioned basketball skills! Grab a teammate and play some ping pong or billiards.
