The event will give Iowa City residents and students the opportunity to experience history in a completely different way at the most suspenseful and spooky time of time of the year. Tour guides will lead groups of people through the cemetery to gain a sense of the historical value of cemetery.
Throughout the tour, stops will be made at featured grave sites. Live actors will be present to entertain and educate visitors about those who have shaped the Iowa City community. Those interred included in this tour feature the state of Iowa and how it affects the history of the United States, focusing on the Civil War experience at home and military service.
