Description
Even if you don't work in a commercial kitchen, developing your knife skills will help improve the visual appeal of your dishes and ensure even cooking to improve the quality of the food you cook. Join Luke Peters, Hy-Vee executive chef, as he discusses a variety of knives, what they are used for, knife safety and maintenance. Chef Luke will then teach you the French traditional cuts of julienne, brunoise, small, medium & large dice. You will practice your skills in class. Bring your own 8” chef knife or one will be provided for your use. This is a hands-on class and is limited to 10 participants. This class fills quickly so don’t wait to register.
