This event is a chili cook-off between the two non-profits (Isle of Iowa Parrot Head Club/Linn County Blues Society) and six local resturants in support of local charity. This years chariites are the H.D. Youth Center and the Community Free Health Clinic, both of Cedar Rapids. The event has raised over $ 57,000 over twelve years and includes chili tasting, voting for your favorite chili, celebrity judges and a silent/live auction. Admission is $8 in advance/$10 at door, $5 for Seniors and kids 7 under are admitted free.
