A retired faculty member in the Art Department at Mount Mercy University where he taught for more than 30 years, Chuck Barth currently splits his time between his studios in Cedar Rapids and Oaxaca, Mexico. Both a painter and a printmaker, Barth's work is strongly influenced by the Mexican culture he sees all around him during his time there every year. Inspired by the rich and diverse culture of Mexico, Barth creates new tableaus, rich in color and full of vitality.
